The Wedding of Mandi & Sean!

It's been awhile since I've had the chance to be 2nd shooter - and it was so fun with my friend, Gail - she has a business in Southeast Iowa. It was definitely the most humid wedding so far this year. But despite everyone being saturated, Mandi and Sean were surrounded in her parent's beautiful backyard by family and friends from all over for their gorgeous ceremony! The colors and relaxed atmosphere of the garden wedding made it magical! Here's just a few shots from the evening...

Her dress was originally purchased as a long gown with a train - but I LOVE this look!

And did I mention how hot and humid it was?? Mandi looks beautiful despite the elements!

Congratulations Mandi & Sean!

And many thanks to Gail for allowing me to 2nd shoot! We get to switch next wedding! fun!

The Wedding of Elizabeth & Whiting!

Like the pastor said during the ceremony... you go through months and months of planning your wedding and it almost never goes the way you pictured it in your head! But it always works out! A summer storm came the afternoon of Elizabeth and Whiting's big day and didn't leave til after the ceremony. The electricity even flickered in Mulder Church... but everything turned out beautifully!

Elizabeth was such a gorgeous bride - the details and colors were also amazing! I'll let the photos tell their story...I'm leaving out so much due to time, but they also did a precious First Look in the sanctuary - it totally calmed their nerves a bit before saying 'I do'!

The cake (by Cake Designs) and the lighting were amazing! You can't tell this is the fellowship hall/gym at all!

The beginning.

Congratulations Elizabeth and Whiting!
Thank you so much for the honor to be part of your day :)

Jennifer's Senior Portraits!

I recently met Jennifer (and her mom!) for her senior session - she is a recent Prattville graduate and off to Troy this fall, but wanted to get senior portraits to capture this time in her life! She is so sweet and photogenic - we photographed a variety downtown Wetumpka...

I love her big green eyes! (not that you can tell they're green here....)

Congratulations, Jennifer, on the transition from high school to many more of life's wonderful adventures! It was great meeting you :)

Crystal - Pinup Session!

Boudoir sessions or anything close to Pinup sessions don't come often enough for me - I LOVE these! And when I do, rarely do I get to blog them! But Crystal is so easy-going, I get to post a few shots from her Pinup session! She is a new friend of mine who inquired about photos as a gift for her husband. Her husband doesn't know about them yet - he is in the army with the possibility of shipping out soon (still unknown at this time), but Crystal wanted to do something special for him. So sweet! Here's a few shots from the variety we captured recently....

Not everyone can pull off the pencil skirt! She is wearing his hat...

It's not the army, but she loved my pinup sailor girl outfit - it looks like a vintage swimsuit, but it's so cute!

And I loved this look on her too - she is so versatile!

Thanks so much Crystal! I hope your hubby loves these and will probably not stop thinking of you with these photos as another reminder!

Kelli's Senior Portraits!

This gal has a smile to light up a room! Kelli is probably one of the most down to earth high school students I've ever met as well. She is a 2011 Prattville senior - we had a great time for her recent studio session! Just a sample is shown below...!

(see what I mean?)

And here she is in her element - she is traveling all over the US this summer to play fastpitch softball with her team!

I love this one - surrounded by her home-run balls!

Congrats, Kelli! You have so much to look forward to :)

I'll be in touch - have a wonderful summer!

Orange Beach Session - Amy & the boys!

While on a quick dash to Orange Beach last week, I had the opportunity to photograph Amy and her boys, Jaxon and Wyatt on the beach! It was so bright - obviously not a sunset shoot - the boys were squinting most of the time! And you can't tell a kid to not squint, lol! However, we were able to capture their personalities, as distracted as they were to get their swimming shorts on and head for the water!

It was great seeing you and the boys again, Amy!
I'm excited to see Jaxon and Wyatt again tomorrow in the wedding I'm photographing!

Katie's Bridal Session!

Katie was just married a few weeks ago - thought I would finally get a few of my favorites from her bridal session posted! These were photographed mid-day in late April near Gulf Shores - right after news of the tragic oil spill. The beach was SO windy, we went to a nearby park instead.

Gorgeous!

The Wedding of Kirstyn & Scott!

Not sure why, but I feel like I've known Kirstyn and Scott forever... these two sweethearts tied the knot this past weekend in Montgomery with a sweet and simple afternoon wedding. It was one of those hot and humid days with passing rain clouds, but everything works out as always! Check out the images below...

Her gown was a flowy Grecian-style wedding dress...!

Scott and his nephew :)

During a song, the guys whipped out lighters to enhance to mood... lol!!!

Not sure what everyone is laughing at, but it's cute!

A tribute to Scott's love for bowling... his groom's cake was a chocolate bowling ball! YUM!

Off to their honeymoon and an exciting new life together as one!

Congratulations, Scott and Kirstyn!
Thanks for everything, it was amazing to be part of your wedding!
