The Wedding of Shannon & Dustin

Shannon & Dustin were married a few days ago on Labor Day at the Auburn University Chapel! They had a 'reverse' destination wedding as they both live on the other side of the country. Shannon came home, back to her alma mater to have their family and close friends attending the intimate wedding. It was beautiful!
What a smashing couple! Shannon is gorgeous.

Real sunflare is cooler than fake, lol!

The departure shot from the reception held at Greystone Mansion on Magnolia Street in Auburn - my first time at the venue - it is a photo opportunity in every room.

This shot is for Shannon's mother's wall :)

What a great couple and wedding! I hope to stay in touch with you two, even though you are so far away! Thank you for the opportunity to be part of the experience! Your families are also wonderful and did such an awesome job helping out! Many blessings will truly come your way and in your marriage!

The Engagement of Lisa & Scott!

John and I spent an afternoon in Atlanta with Scott & Lisa for their engagement session - which they broke the record for the longest session I've done! 4 hours! The majority of the session took place on MARTA, Atlanta's public transit system - the story behind this is the fact Scott and Lisa met on the train! How awesome is that! Good things can come out of public transportation :)

We had so much fun, I think Lisa will agree that we have entertaining husbands (husband-to-be, that is!). It was also a very busy weekend in ATL with events such as the Alabama game and Dragon Con taking place downtown. The train was packed! Check out the images, I'll explain...

John asked me if I saw the couple walking on the left of Lisa and Scott during shooting - not until I was editing did I see what he was talking about!

Sweet - an initial shot...

The image above was made on the infamous Peachtree Station escalator - I'm not sure how many stories it entails.

5 Points.

I'm not sure why I like this image above so much, I think it's the mood of Lisa and Scott's faces amongst the busy passersbys.

You two are an awesome couple, I am so excited about your wedding! John and I thank you for being so much fun and blending like 'tourists', lol! Enjoy!

The Engagement of Shannon & Dustin!

Shannon and Dustin were married YESTERDAY but we just photographed their engagement session last week! They live in the great Northwest so it was my first time meeting Dustin. They are an awesome couple! They have such a cool story of how God brought them together after many years and distance apart. They first met while working at a summer camp in Chelsea, Alabama - Hargis Camp is a place of wonderful memories for them as they asked to be photographed there! It was a bit overcast after a rain, but we had a great session. The wedding blog is coming soon!

Sweet!

The neighbor's kids...

This is a recent session I decided to go ahead and blog because they are all so cute... The session was a gift to my neighbors to welcome their new baby, Parker.

This little guy just turned 2 months - his big sister, Sarah Grace, was not quite as excited about modeling, but we got a few shots at the end before they went back home. We have the best neighbors! And they have cute kids :)

The Wedding of Jill & Chris!

Jill & Chris were married during a beautiful wedding this past weekend at Mt. Hebron Baptist Church in Elmore - their smashing reception was held at the Marriott Legends in Prattville. What a fun couple - you can tell they are best friends in everything!

The guys had socks labeling them by their place in the wedding (groom, best man...)! Too cool!

The dresses were gorgeous - I love this color!

Chris's expression when he sees her walking down the aisle with her dad.

Jill has beautiful eyes !

A before and after shot - the flower girl did NOT want a kiss from the ringbearer!
UGH! boys! lol!

A shot on the back patio before the light completely faded.

Thank you Chris and Jill for a wonderful time capturing these memories! You and your families are awesome! Special thanks to Anna Bishop for helping cover this event! (click on her name to view her photo blog!)

The Engagement of Katelyn & Justin

Katelyn and Justin are getting married this November - we got to 'hang out' this past Saturday morning (it was in the 90's by 9 AM!!) for their engagement session! It was great to put a face to Justin's name - turns out we had already met at a wedding show last year as he does some DJ work on the side! Small world...!

Ok, now to their story...they met at Holtville high school where they both played in the band. Katelyn had the inspired idea to begin the shoot there! The instruments actually were great elements in the session (I like the reflection shot above). I'll let the images tell the rest of the story....

A shot at the lake...there are more, but this is all that's posted here with the water.

Sax meets French Horn...

'the Gap ad'

Too cute, love this one! Looking forward to your wedding - see you again soon!

The Wedding of Joshlyn & David!

All I can say about this wedding is it was soooooo SWEET! Everything, especially Joshlyn and David are sweet. They had a beautiful wedding this past weekend in downtown Montgomery at Capitol Heights Baptist Church. I'll recap along the way...!

David and the guys.

Joshlyn and the ladies.

Her dad (right) and the first time he sees his daughter in that gorgeous wedding gown. One of those split-second moments - love it!

Joshlyn in the parlor...

Her mother's cathedral length veil :)

He is glowing when he sees her walking down the aisle!

Sister flower girls.

One of the coolest wedding parties, ever!

Thank you David and Joshlyn for the honor of photographing your day! God truly smiled on your wedding, hope to stay in touch! The gallery will be posted within the next few days - the password will be David and Joshlyn's last name.
