Frenchie's 35th Throwback Birthday Par-TAY!!!

My sweet friend in B-ham, Frenchie, celebrated her 35th this past Monday with a crowd of friends and family at the Matt Jones Gallery! She is such a talented woman and an amazing event designer! Every detail had her artistic flair with a hip hop '80s twist - down to the cassette tapes hanging off the food table decor! It was SOOOO fun, wish I could have stayed and danced all night!!! Here are just a few of the shots captured during the evening....

The Birthday Girl :)
Scenes from the Photo Booth amongst the Wall of Frames!!!

And did I mention the theme was 'HOT'?

My favorite 'throwback'?? The ice cream truck!!! YEAH!!!

Thank you sooooo much, girl!!!! It was amazing! AND you are surrounded with so much love - thank you for having me there! And definitely hope it was a birthday to remember!!!

The Wedding of Marilynn & John!

Marilynn & John were married this past weekend at Liberty Park Baptist Church in Birmingham! What a beautiful sunny (and cold!) day, but everything came together and was a perfect celebration! They had family from all over the states to make this event so memorable in their lives! Marilynn was such a beautiful bride!

The reception was held at the Hilton Perimeter Park - she had the most beautiful cake!

The ladies - and of course, sisters! Who else can make you laugh before you walk down the aisle?

As always, totally out of order... this shot was after the ceremony and formals with the sun already set...and 24 degrees! Dang, it was cold!

A few detail shots above...her grandmother holds the pearls that she wore herself in her wedding! I love traditions like that! And a shoe shot of the shoes that never walked down the aisle... Marilynn opted to go barefoot (which sent the trend throughout the bridesmaids, lol!)

The guys - I did not post the 'jump' shot, you'll have to see it in the gallery!

I love hotel carpets! Can you believe they did this for me? This just shows what a fun couple they are - they have so much to look forward to together!

Thank you Marilynn & John for having me as part of your day!

The Wedding of Nichole & Ferris!

Nichole & Ferris had a beautiful fall wedding this past weekend at her hometown church in Birmingham! It was such a touching ceremony for such a sweet couple! The music during the ceremony definitely put a few tears in my eye. Check out the images and let me know what you think - there are too many great shots, I couldn't fit them all here!

Her dress is of the 'Greek goddess' style - at least that is what I call it! Love it!

The guys - and some snazzy suits!

The ladies also had it going on with peachy-rust-toned dresses and shawls.

The Mr. and Mrs.!

Ferris's son finally smiled - with the help of Nichole ;)

The reception was held at the Avon Theater in the old town area of Birmingham. It is such a classy and rustic atmosphere. I love Nichole's colors and details! (Great job, Francesca!)

Thank you Nichole and Ferris! Congratulations on your life together as one in ATL - stay in touch! If you are looking for the gallery, it will be posted next week with Nichole's maiden name as the password.

The Engagement of Shannon & Dustin!

Shannon and Dustin were married YESTERDAY but we just photographed their engagement session last week! They live in the great Northwest so it was my first time meeting Dustin. They are an awesome couple! They have such a cool story of how God brought them together after many years and distance apart. They first met while working at a summer camp in Chelsea, Alabama - Hargis Camp is a place of wonderful memories for them as they asked to be photographed there! It was a bit overcast after a rain, but we had a great session. The wedding blog is coming soon!

Sweet!

The Engagement of Jennifer & Tony

What an awesome couple! I finally got to meet Jennifer and Tony the morning of their engagement session at Oak Mountain Park, south of Birmingham...not to mention, it was the morning of Jennifer's move to Indiana to be near Tony before the wedding! I'm so happy everything is falling in to place for them - it's obviously meant to be!

It was a HOT, muggy morning, we had a good hike near the waterfall where they got engaged this spring. The adventure was definitely worth the images captured - I'll let you check them out!

She is going to be such a beautiful bride! Looking forward to their September wedding!

I wasn't kidding! They were hitting the highway right after this session!

Near the waterfall (hard to tell with all of the foliage) where they got engaged!

Love this one!
Love his contentment :) and the view!

The Wedding of Jayme & Stephen

The long-awaited wedding of Jayme and Stephen occurred this past Sunday in McCalla, Alabama. (This is the Old Navy engagement couple! Sorry, Stephen, we didn't have time to hit the store on the way to the reception! We can always 'dress-up' again!)

Jayme was such a beautiful bride - check out her smashing dress - the design is so unique, along with the pink bow. All of the details included a pink, classic theme. There were so many images from the day - the gallery will be posted next week...check out a few shots below...

The handsome groom and blushing bride...

Her flowers became part of the decor at Park Crest Event Facility (south of Birmingham). I thought the large vases of water were way cool!

A '35 Ford and a kiss...

I'm so happy for Stephen and Jayme and everything that worked out to bring them together! Expect the unexpected! Congratulations to you both!
