The Engagement of Kirstyn & Scott!

Kirstyn and Scott are getting married in less than 2 months - we had such a fun session in Prattville - and it was great to finally meet Scott! And did I mention they have a Dairy Queen connection?? Yes - that is how these two met :) Scott's parents own the shop in Montgomery - so I HAD to include dilly bars on the shoot! (Not to mention I was looking forward to eating one myself, lol!)

The Wedding of Jill & Chris!

Jill & Chris were married during a beautiful wedding this past weekend at Mt. Hebron Baptist Church in Elmore - their smashing reception was held at the Marriott Legends in Prattville. What a fun couple - you can tell they are best friends in everything!

The guys had socks labeling them by their place in the wedding (groom, best man...)! Too cool!

The Wedding of Alayna & Slade!

I met Slade and Alayna about an hour before the wedding - I never do this! But that's how divine appointments happen :) I had the honor of photographing their beautiful outdoor ceremony at Rocky Mount in Prattville. After meeting Slade and Alayna, I knew this was going to be easy, lol! They are both so laid-back, fun and carefree, it made everything go smoothly. They are so in love and that always makes great photos!

I loved her dress! The red embroidery and accents on her veil were gorgeous!

Congratulations, Slade and Alayna! I will post a small gallery of 'best of' and family shots online for your guests and out of town family as soon as possible - next week, to be honest. The password will be Slade's last name. Thanks for everything to you and your families and having me as part of your day!

The Wedding of Laura & Paul

FINALLY! The 'long-awaited' and anticipated blog from Laura and Paul's wedding can be posted...! What a gorgeous wedding...Laura and Paul made the evening beautiful along with their family and friends at Rocky Mount Bed and Breakfast in Prattville, AL... I have so many great shots (and thanks to the venue's many photo-perfect locations) - I'll let a few of the images do the talking...

Love the purple tones - reminds me of my parents wedding colors back '72 - that's a compliment!

House of Crosses

I had a day out shooting for fun with my friend Tricia - she lives in Prattville and there are so many cool places to photograph around there, so we started with a church, grabbed some lunch and kept going to battle mosquitos in the 'bamboo forest' and finished at the landmark House of Crosses. I'm not from around here, so this was all new to me... I don't know the entire story regarding the House of Crosses, but apparently the man who started this passed away about 4 years ago. He put out a cross supposedly everyday his wife survived cancer from the day of her diagnosis. But there may be other stories, so don't quote me! 

This place is very interesting - to me it was peaceful yet unnerving. Hard to describe...there are hundreds of decaying crosses and messages constructed on old appliances, car parts, anything you can think of. Something you'll have to see for yourself, but here's a few images I captured on our adventure.
