Ashley & Chris's Maternity Session

It was great seeing Ashley and Chris again since their wedding- and how things change! They are expecting their little boy early next year! How exciting for them! They are such a fun, sweet couple and the cool thing is, they will do about anything in front of a camera, lol!

I'm so happy for you two - I hope to make it to the shower, Ashley! And definitely to photograph your little newborn when he arrives.

Payton - Newborn - 7 days

I got to photograph this new baby girl last week at only 7 days old! Payton has the proudest mommy and daddy ever. And the coolest baby room, too! I'll let the photos tell the story of my time spent with them...

I love this one! Especially the contrast of her hand to one of daddy's fingers!

The happy family :)

Thank you so much for the honor to photograph your newborn! What a special time - she is going to grow and change so fast (if she hasn't already by the time this blog has been posted!).

The Engagement of Katie & Josh!

So I found myself in Tuscaloosa again this week! I got to finally meet Katie, my Facebook friend, and her fiance' Josh - we were able to coordinate the engagement session on their fall breaks as they both attend different schools in different ends of the state! And despite the distance, we were blessed with a nice cloudy but not rainy day this week! I had so much fun getting hang out with these two and cruise around campus and downtown - let me know if you think you look like rockstars, Katie!

Too cute, as I always say! You two are a great couple, looking forward to the Mobile wedding in June - and seeing you again for the bridal, Katie!

The Wedding of Laura & Duke!

What a day! Laura & Duke's wedding came together perfectly this past weekend in Tuscaloosa. Their original plan for the wedding and reception was to be held at her parents home, but despite the forecast, it had to be moved to Smith Hall, the field museum on the campus of the University of Alabama. Every detail, flower, lighting, everything was in place to bring the formal and fun garden party inside!

I love weddings with sentimental touches - my favorite was the fact that Laura wore her mother's wedding dress, but reconstructed (sleeves to strapless, lengthened, etc) - she looked gorgeous! Their initials and wedding dates were monogrammed in the hem of the dress (see above photo). I'll let the images tell the story - we had soooo many, you're getting an extra long blog - special thanks to Michelle White from Atlanta for helping capture Laura and Duke's day!

Laura before heading to Smith Hall...beautiful!

Laura's dad sees her for the first time in the dress just outside the steps of their home. He smiled and laughed in every photo we snapped of him!

Laura & Duke did a First Look inside the hall on the landing of the staircase...after the formals, we went outside with just the two of them for a few shots.

The wedding ceremony...a shot before she walks down the aisle as Duke awaits!

The party is rockin'!

The first accidental out-of-focus shot I've ever liked! It's Fine Art, not out-of-focus, lol!

And so the party came to an end and Laura & Duke are off in the islands... the gallery will be posted early next week with Laura's maiden last name for the password, if you're looking for it!

Thank you to all of the family and vendors who participated, it was a glamorous afternoon and evening and so much fun! Both families are truly family! Thanks also to Emily, the events coordinator - fabulous! And of course, thank you so much Laura & Duke for having Michelle and I welcomed and able to capture this special day in your life and the beginning to so much more! Congratulations!

Camden - 6 months!

The personality just starts to come out at 6 months! Camden is so sweet! He seemed pretty content the entire session, more so observant and fascinated by everything around him. Most of the smiles he saved for hello and goodbye...and of course, his mommy!

Love his big blue eyes! Thanks again! It was great seeing you! Enjoy :)

The Wedding of Nancy & Bob!

Nancy & Bob were married this past weekend in a beautiful ceremony at the Church of the Ascension in Garden District of Montgomery! In reverse order, here are some images from throughout their day! The above image is the departure shot from the reception at the Capital City Club...they are coming down the steps of the RSA tower running through New Orleans style serpentine streamers! How original!

The groom's cake! Mmmmm, chocolate & peanut butter!

The Syndicate got the crowd dancing all night at the reception! Nancy and Bob got a shot with the full moon rising and the sun setting (below) from atop the 22nd floor.

A quick portrait before Nancy enters the church with her dad to walk down the aisle!

The couple in the gorgeous sanctuary.

3 flower girls and 1 ring bearer :) Their outfits were adorable - the girls had monogrammed sashes to match the greens of the wedding colors.

Nancy and her gorgeous cathedral length veil!

Your day was beautiful, Bob and Nancy! We couldn't have asked for better weather, either. Thank you for everything! (special thanks to Hallie for making everything possible!) Definitely stay in touch :)

Tatelyn & Braxton!

I finally got to meet Tatelyn in person with her adorable little brother (a.k.a. Spiderman!) last week for a surprise photo shoot for their mom's birthday! I'm not sure if it resulted into much of a surprise, but we had fun and I know she'll love the photos regardless! They are so cute - and the weather was perfect. The above shot is one of my favorites.

Thanks so much for the opportunity, Tatelyn! I had so much fun 'hanging out'.
