April & Craig engagement

April and Craig are such an awesome couple I have met recently - we photographed their engagement session in downtown Prattville this week, so it was a great time that was more like hanging out with friends - even if we had to climb rusty ladders and walk over metal ruins of an old mill that was suspended above a dam to get some of the shots! Craig is in the military and leaving for Germany on Monday, so I know they are going through a lot of emotions right now. I pray many blessings and protection over you Craig and that you are together again soon! Well, I know the summer will go fast, especially if you're planning a wedding... WEDDING?!? Oh yeah, John and my wedding is in two weeks... TWO WEEKS!!!

But again, it was great hanging out with you two, you're both so photogenic! Thank you! I hope your photos bring wonderful memories and thoughts of each other as you spend this time physically apart.

Bella, 7 months

Corey & Jessica are the proud parents of little Bella... she is my first 'bama baby to photograph! Thank you Corey and Jessica for allowing me to photograph your sweet little girl! ...Yes, someday I'll take one... ;)  We photographed her in two sessions, the first being an outdoor session in fading daylight and the second was an indoor session with studio lighting. So many to choose from, here are a few of my favorites...

Katie & Dror

This was one of the most relaxed weddings I've ever been too - Katie & Dror were such a carefree couple, nothing could stop them on their wedding day! It truly was a full day of celebration! Right down to Katie's Betsey Johnson shoes, she was a beautiful bride. The images are just a small sample of the day at Chateau Elan. Katie & Dror even had a photo booth for guests to hop in and get photos made which were then used for the guest book. What a great idea - now I want a photo booth!

Hope you're having a great honeymoon, Katie & Dror - Mazal tov!

Haley's Senior Photos...

I had the opportunity of meeting and photographing Haley, a local senior. She is a beautiful young woman, inside and out - and amazing hazel eyes. Here's a few out takes...

Just in from a little commercial assignment in Florida . . . here's a few pix from strolling around, shooting palm trees. The skyline is Miami. I know it's Florida, but it's nice to be home!

Kenwin & Charmaine

An artsy little maternity session with my photographer sidekick and her husband...she's due next month! Charmaine and Kenwin are sooooo photogenic. And sweet!

Transition...

Transition...that's where I am.

But change is a good thing. My life is going through some major upgrades! I just got married last month to my best friend John! The rainbow image is from a rainy Christmas day, 11 days after our marriage ceremony. What an awesome sign of God's promises! I've moved my life and business from Atlanta to central Alabama. I can honestly say I've never had such peace in moving before, I owe a lot of that to John :)

And I've started my blog...wow, I am so behind every photographer that I know! Amidst all of this transition, I might as well find motivation! I'm going to post some photos from my most recent adventures. I'm looking forward to this year and what it holds for me and John, and of course, photographically, whether that is Atlanta, Alabama or wherever life takes me! Happy New Year!
