Josh's Bar Mitzvah

Josh is not only one of the coolest guys around, but so is his family! A wonderful bar mitzvah service and party was held this past Saturday at Camp Barney Medintz in the north Georgia mountains, about an hour's drive north of Atlanta. It was such a beautiful experience to photograph a bar mitvah and witness this time in Josh's life.

By having the bar mitzvah at the camp, Josh's classmates also got to join in for swimming, canoeing and many other activities. Definitely an experience to remember!

This makes me hungry just looking at it...a wonderfully displayed and tasty lunch was catered in the dining hall after the ceremony and prior to the rest of the day's festivities!

Candace & Keith's Garden Wedding

How can I describe Candace and Keith's wedding other than perfect! The lighting, the colors, the atmosphere, the families, the friends...everything came together wonderfully. Simple and sweet is another way to describe it...but I am so happy for this couple. They did a 'First Look' prior to the ceremony (check out the images from that!)...Candace waited in the garden area next to the barn (location: Petals from the Past in Clanton, AL) while Keith walked around the corner to see his 'HOT' bride ;)

Aika & Alex's maternity session

How beautiful! I am SOOOOOO blessed to know couples like Aika and Alex. I photographed their wedding over 3 years ago in Atlanta...and here they are today expecting a baby boy in June. I am reminded it's so amazing to see the subtle changes of life, as big or little as the moments seem. Check out a few of the gorgeous images we captured from the session.

Rachel & Josh in the woods...

Rachel and Josh are yet another sweet couple we had the honor of photographing...in the woods southeast of Birmingham. You would never know this beautiful place existed, but Rachel 'knows people who know people'... We even hiked down the steep hill to get shots in the creek - they braved the rocks barefoot to get the shots! I love adventurers...!

Jena and Justin's Picture Perfect Wedding

It was gorgeous this past Saturday in Montgomery for Justin and Jena's wedding...everyone looked beautiful, not to mention the atmosphere of Grace Episcopal Church. The gardens and property there are magical. I hope everyone had as much fun as I did at this wedding, I know it was a joyous event and almost all the guests hit the dance floor at some point! My kind of party! Check out the small sample of images from Justin and Jena's day... can't wait to hear about the 'islands, mon' when you get back from the honeymoon!

Once again, I got to 'hang out' with another incredible couple - Jessica and David... they are such an easy-going, fun and sweet pair. They are one of those couples you are so happy for because they found each other and you know they will be best friends forever :)

Justin & Jena's Engagement at the Beach!

Well, it looks all nice and warm and sunny - but it's not! The session started off soooo cold! But Justin and Jena are true models because they didn't even flinch. They got engaged last year at Orange Beach, so we made the pilgrimage to photograph their engagement session there. The photos look rather 1950's vintage to me...so I went with similar tones on a few images...
